Homepage Redesign: FormCAD
Overview
FormCAD is a precision metalworking company in Saxony producing CNC-machined components for industrial clients. Their customers are engineers and procurement managers who vet suppliers carefully and first impressions start online.
Challenge
The homepage hadn't been updated in years. Regional competitors in the Saxony manufacturing market had moved to cleaner, more professional web presences. FormCAD's site no longer reflected what they actually do, or helped them win new business. The brief was to modernize but stay clearly rooted in the trade. Generic web polish would've been the wrong direction.
Approach
I rebuilt the homepage from scratch: new structure, visual language, and copy. The main constraint was that it had to compete with regional peers while staying unmistakably connected to precision manufacturing. Buyers in this sector can tell when a site could belong to any industry. I handled the full engagement: strategy, UX, copy, and frontend in Next.js.
Result
Live at formcad.de. FormCAD now has a homepage that holds its own against regional competition one they can send to a new prospect without having to apologize for it.
